MeaningfulWork Partners with Asian Creative Network and Ryse

MeaningfulWork partnership announcement with ACN and Ryse

Surrey, BC – MeaningfulWork is pleased to announce partnership with two of the best Asian supporting organizations: Asian Creative Network (ACN) and Ryse. ACN is a network which connects and empowers Asian creatives by providing an inclusive, global platform and resources for active community building, collaboration, and growth. Ryse aims to create a safe space for the community to explore institutionalized and systemic racism in their careers and professional lives (e.g., job searching process, promotions, salaries, networking), while also examining internalized and generational racism.

This partnership will empower ACN and Ryse members with skills in graphic design, social media, marketing, web development, accounting, and more to support Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) nonprofits through the MeaningfulWork platform.

To make a positive impact and support our AAPI Community, members will engage in opportunities like project management, strategic advising & consulting, events or even join the non-profit as a board member. In a weeklong Anti-Asian Hate Campaign started from April 26th to May 1st members of RYSE and ACN will engage in opportunities from various Asian communities across North America (Canada & United States) in volunteering to nonprofits, for joint impact.

Global events like the pandemic, accompanied by increased racial tension, have brought fear, uncertainty, and anxiety; but it has also created an opportunity. There’s never been a greater need, or a greater opportunity, to connect and collaborate with others online. MeaningfulWork allows you to create a positive impact in your community, entirely online. Nonprofits post skill-based volunteer opportunities needed by their organization on MeaningfulWork, and volunteers donate their time and skills to help these organizations to meet their needs.
